Mr. Danny Rodrigues, Yigo 653-2974.
July 24 – Mr. Rodriguez phoned Aubrey to report a problem with young coconut fruit. When nuts are cracked open, bare spots are apparent on the inside of the nut. Mr. Rodrigues suspected that the bare spots were caused by an insect, but no insects were seen. Samples of nuts were requested.
July 25 – Nuts were delivered to UOG. Aubrey had a look at these and concluded that an insect was not involved.
July 26 – Roland had a look at the nuts and suggested that this may be an early symptom of tinangiya disease. Nuts were given to Andrea for further investigation.
