The second Guam Beekeepers Association (GBA) monthly meeting will be held Wednesday, October 28, 2015, from 7pm-8pm at the University of Guam (UOG). This meeting is open to all bee enthusiasts on Guam in order to share ideas and information on raising bees in the tropics.
“The Guam Beekeepers Association’s first meeting was held in September with over 20 interested bee supporters in attendance. I am very happy to know that people on island are interested in learning more about beekeeping,” said Chris Rosario, research associate with the Western Pacific Tropical Research Center, UOG and newly elected president of the GBA.
The Guam Beekeepers Association meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 28th, 7pm-8pm at the Agriculture and Life Sciences Building, Room 104, University of Guam. The agenda will include information on possible grant opportunities for experienced beekeepers to train agriculture professionals to teach farmers and ranchers the basics of keeping bees. Also to be discussed is the idea of Guam Beekeepers Association becoming a non-profit organization. In addition, there will be a reading of an original poem titled “Macbeeth”.
