On October 21, 2017, the 4-H Program participated in the Military’s Trunker Treat event at the National Guard in Barrigada. This event brings families from all military branches to come together and share in activities such as costume contests, trunker treats, haunted houses, laser tag, and live entertainment. The 4-H program participated in the Trunker Treat this year as judges for the costume, trunk and booth contest. It is important for 4-H to its part in events like this that create positive events for our youth. Though this 4-H can further reach out and instill values in the military community to create relationships with military families and youth, that will strengthen our bond as mentors in upcoming events with Anderson and Navy. 4-H enjoyed playing an important role in this year’s Trunker Treat and is excited to be a part of it next year.
