Students from the 4-H Belau Youth Club, along with volunteers and mentors, painted two bus stops on Saturday that they adopted recently.
The bus stop adoption and painting program is one of several projects that the youth members have taken on. Since its inception a few years ago, the group, with members ages 6 to 18, has enjoyed various activities, including fishing, sports and swimming.
The Saturday event was part of a partnership with the Guam Police Department’s effort to bring together Micronesian youths and to showcase positive, community-building opportunities available to the younger generation.
