The Veteran and New Farmer Program is designed to educate and guide individuals and veterans interested in becoming a farmer (subsistence, market garden or commercial).
A six-week hands-on training for individuals interested in getting started in agriculture, by learning “Best Management Practices” in farm planning, production and risk management will be starting soon!
This series of six weekly classes begins Saturday October 31st at UOG, in the Agriculture and Life Sciences building room 127 from 8 am until noon. Additional workshops on topics of interest to the group will be conducted on weekday evenings as requested.
