Habitat: It can be either epiphytic or terrestrial, reaching massive proportions and the debris that accumulates around it may support other species.
Distribution: Guam, Saipan, Rota
The leaf and root of this fern is often used as an ingredient in local medicinal preparations. This species is also used as a decoration for wedding fiestas and the religious rituals known as Novenas.
